Print turns your records into official printed documents with your clinic’s details at the top (name, address, phone and support email from Organization Details, and your logo). It supports two formats:
| Format | For |
|---|---|
| A4 | Full-page documents on a standard printer. |
| Thermal | Narrow receipts on an 80 mm thermal receipt printer. |
What you can print
Section titled “What you can print”A Print action appears on these records (when the module that owns them is on):
- appointments (appointment slip), with the linked treatments and the details your modules add to them, such as their teeth on a tooth chart (a plain list of teeth on thermal receipts),
- prescriptions,
- invoices,
- payments and refunds (transaction receipt),
- treatments and treatment plans, with details your modules add to them, such as teeth drawn on a tooth chart (a plain list on thermal receipts),
- a patient’s whole dental chart, from the Print button on the Dental chart tab (A4 only),
- expenses,
- purchase orders,
- inventory movements,
- submitted forms,
- account statements, staff statements, inventory item statements, patient statements and laboratory statements (Print statement),
- reports (Print report),
- lab requisitions, lab reports and specimen labels (Print lab documents).
You can only print what you’re allowed to see. The print button uses the same permissions as the record itself.
Print a document
Section titled “Print a document”- Open the record and select Print (from its Actions menu, or the print button on statements and reports). A print preview opens in a new browser tab.
- If both formats are on, switch between A4 and Thermal at the top. It starts on your clinic’s Default format.
- Choose the document’s language. It starts as your own language, and you can pick any of your clinic’s languages, for example to print a prescription in the patient’s language. This doesn’t change your app’s language.
- Select Print. Your browser’s print window opens. Pick your printer and print.
Notes marked Visible to the patient are printed on documents for that record. Internal notes are not.
